The Junior A team played Cuala in the league on Sunday morning (24 June 2012) in Shankill.

We knew we were in for a hard match, as Cuala were leading the league. Playing with the breeze in the first half we were quickly into our stride, with a point from Cathal followed by another by Richie. Unfortunately we lost Kevin with an injury then and Cuala came at us and quickly went ahead, with some fine points, before Richie scored a goal from a rebounded penalty. With our backs playing well, especially John and Ray, we went in at half time level, with the score Crokes 1-03, Cuala 0-06.

The second half was dominated by Cuala, but we fought hard and, after 15 minutes, we were level after Conor scored a very brave goal, followed by fine points from Shane and Darren. Cuala went ahead but Peter goaled to bring them back within range. But Cuala tapped over a few points to leave the final score Kilmacud Crokes 3-06, Cuala 2-16.
