Junior A's v Clontarf

The Junior A team played Clontarf in the league on Tuesday night, 18 June 2012 in Silverpark.

It was a lovely evening for hurling and our guests opted to play 13 a side. Playing up the hill we were quickly into our stride, with a string of points from Jonathan, Conor, Matthew and Damien. Jonathan then scored a fine goal, which was immediately countered by Clontarf. Again we pushed on, with points from Shane and Richie, before Conor scored our second goal. With Fergus and the two James’s to the fore in the backs we kept pressing and at half time the score was Crokes 2-13, Clontarf 1-05.

We introduced 3 subs at half time to freshen things up and Cathal, Daibhi and Cian all played well.

The second half was very even and Clontarf pressed on, but Richie Sweetman stopped everything that came his way. Paddy and Kevin worked well to set up a fine point for Shane. Matt Kinsella was introduced and immediately scored a fine point.

The final score was Kilmacud Crokes 2-20 Clontarf 1-13.
