Body

Wexford All-Ireland winner Ger Cushe has been appointed the new Kilmacud Crokes senior hurling manager.

Ger played with the Naomh Eanna club in Gorey and was a Wexford senior for ten years.  A renowned full back he was one of the stars of Wexford’s 1996 All-Ireland triumph over Limerick.  When his playing career finished Ger became part of the Wexford management team which guided the county to the All-Ireland semi-final against eventual champions Tipperary in 2001.

Speaking after his appointment Ger said “Crokes is a big club and Dublin hurling is on the up.  I’m excited about getting involved and very much looking forward to the challenge ahead.”

Ger took his first training session with the Senior Team on Saturday morning, 28 February. To see some images of the session click  HERE or on the image of Ger below
