Development of the GAA Club Gym has now been completed. The programme of renovation and development has been funded by the Club Lotto and in particular by those members who paid €100 upfront each for two tickets in the Club Lotto per week for a year. That Lotto contribution has produced the funds to create a first class facility designed to meet the gym needs of GAA playing members and other members entitled to use the Gym.See details on our recent Gym revamp

The project has been led and delivered by a team of members who carried out most of the physical work themselves and who oversaw the carrying out of all works involved.

This Gym is a members' facility and is not available to anybody else. As members we are required to respect the Gym and to abide by all related rules and protocols. Comprehensive CCTV and a computer linked fob system will be a feature of the new Gym designed to prohibit unauthorised use and a means of ensuring that the Gym is used appropriately on an ongoing basis.

The Gym management Committee is Gerry McGrath, John Costelloe, Billy Noctor and Mick Durcan. This Committee will oversee the ongoing operation of the Gym and deal with all issues arising in that regard. The Committee will be advised by Paraic McDonald, Niall Corcoran and Declan Browne as regards safe and appropriate usage of the facility. It is hoped that the Committee will shortly be joined by playing members from the sections using the Gym.

Access to the Gym will be by non-transferable computer linked fob. These fobs will be available from the Gym Committee from next Wednesday 11th June evening onwards. A member of the Gym Committee will be in the Club from 8.00pm on the 11th onwards to distribute fobs. After Wednesday fobs can be accessed by contacting the Committee. There will be a once off charge of €25 for those issued with a fob. This charge will cover the cost of the fob itself and any excess funds will be ring fenced for Gym use thereafter. It will be a serious offence for a Gym user to pass on his / her fob to somebody else to allow their use of the Gym and the CCTV and computer linked fob system will be used to detect any such occurrence. It will also be a serious offence to be present in the Gym without a fob or proper authorisation.

Members picking up a fob will also be issued with rules of the gym and appropriate waivers.
