Scoil San Treasa beat Scoil Mobhi in the Corn Mhic Phiarais, Cumann na mBunscol final at Parnell Park on Wednesday 30 May 2007.

ScSanTreasa07.jpgDuring the previous week the school’s camogie team won Corn Nuri, defeating St.Pius (Terenure) in the final, to bring back the school’s first camogie cup. On the same day St.Pius (Terenure) beat our junior hurling team by a scoreline of 3-01 to 2-01.

Scoil san Treasa tore out of the blocks right from the first whistle. Early goals from JJ Murray, Robert Murphy, Dara Mullin and Michael Kane got rid of any nerves. These scores were followed by points from Michael Kane, Dara Mullin, two from Robert Murphy and there was also a goal from half back Alex Considine (3rd class). JJ Murray finished the half well, with another well taken goal.

Half Time score:           Scoil San Treasa 6-04, Scoil Mobhi 0-0

Scoil San Treasa brought on eight subs in total. One of them - Sam McNally - quickly grabbed a goal, while another fantastic score from JJ Murray quickly followed.

Scoil Mobhi replied with two very well taken points to leave the final score:

Scoil San Treasa  8-04,  Scoil Mobhi 0-02

This was a fantastic all round team performance from a team that had participated in over a hundred training sessions. Outstanding on the day were Andrew Colclough, Philip O’Shea, Robert Murphy (captain), Ryan Conlon, Dara Mullin and JJ Murray.
