Seniors win, good display by Intermediates

Seniors beat St. Marks

The seniors had a comfortable 2-16 to 1-12 away win over St Marks in the Boland Cup.  A much improved second half performance after a sluggish opening 30 minutes (which saw them .lead 1-6 to 0-7 at the break) was enough to overcome the Tallaght team.  Alan Tiernan with three points from midfield, Paul Broderick with four, MacDara O’hOgain, who made two outstanding saves, and, scorer in chief, Donal McGovern were to the van.

Intermediates beaten by Ballinteer St. John's

In Silverpark the Intermediates, minus several regulars, put up a fighting display against senior B outfit, Ballinteer St Johns, in An Corn Ceitinn.  Ahead 0-7 to 0-3 after a gutsy display in the first half they were unable to hold out and went down 1-15 to 0-12.  Prominent were Dara Burke with seven points, Dave Canny and Paul Graham.
