The South Dublin Under 15 Hurlers back on track

Body
The South Dublin Under 15 squad left the Spawell in Tallaght at 8.30am on Sunday morning heading to Carlow, to play the Carlow Under 15’s in Dr Cullen Park.  Unfortunately due to holidays, Carlow were missing a few key players down their spine and did not provide much of a challenge.  However, you can only play who is up against you and despite a tentative start, the Dubs ran out easy winners with a 7-18 to 0-08 scoreline.  The team then headed to Toughers for a fine breakfast.  Despite the quality of the match, it was a good experience for the lads to be playing in a venue where a lot of important Colleges and intercounty matches are held, this experience should stand them in good stead in the future.  With a panel of 23 travelling, all players were given at least 30 minutes to prove themselves for the Leinster Blitz on the 19th August.  Crokes were represented by Jack Kelly (fullback), Jack Doughan (corner back), Paul Collins (center back), Darren McVeigh (wing back), Eddie O’Byrne (mid field), Killian Doherty (center forward), Eoin Dalton (corner forward) and Seanie McGrath (corner forward). Naomhan and Matthew also travelled, but took no part in the game due to injury.  Eddie, Eoin and Killian all contributed a point each to the Dublin total, while Seanie tapped over three points during his spell on the pitch.  The lads will have a couple of training sessions before the next challenge game, which will be the last before the Leinster Blitz.  Well done to the Crokes lads, all played well and gave their all for the cause.
