Summary of week ending 25 June 2006

An active weekend (24-25 June 2006) saw  Kilmacud Crokes hurlers record a four point (5-10 to 1-18) Senior Hurling League win over Lucan away on Saturday night (see match report elsewhere on website) and a good 4 point Intermediate Championship win over Fingallians in Silverpark on Sunday morning.  Also on Saturday in the Junior B Hurling Championship we had a 10 point victory over Naomh Mearnog in Portmarnock.

On Sunday in Dolphins Barn the under 15As won well over Kevins while the 15B’s lost away to Raheny.

At the younger age levels three groups took to the road on Saturday to play in County Laois Development squads.  At Portlaoise two under 10 squads comprising 25 players were victorious in all their games over the six host teams.  The under 11s went to Clonad and came away with two victories and a draw while the under 12’s went down narrowly in three hard fought games at Rathdowney.
