U13's beat B'boden, 28 Aug 06

On what can fairly be described as a tropical Monday (28th August 2006) evening at Deerpark the Kilmacud Crokes under 13 hurlers had an excellent 1-12 to 3-4 League win over Ballyboden.

 

Level at half time Crokes looked to be in trouble when playing against the wind in the second half.  An early tonic was needed and it came in the form of a super goal from John Huban not long into the half.  Crokes then had to withstand some very strong Boden pressure which they did in fine style with goalkeeper Paddy Tighe outstanding.  Eventually the pressure told and Boden raised the green flag which put them a point ahead.  That looked like curtains for Crokes but they refused to yield and took the game to their opponents scoring some delightful long range points before running out deserving winners
