U15s beat Lucan by 2 points, 17 May 07

Body

On what was a very windy evening out at Lucan Sarsfields' grounds on Thursday 17 May 2007, the Under 15's under intense pressure in the second half, held on to win by two points. Playing downhill - and with the assistance of a strong wind - Crokes finished the first half 5 points ahead, due largely to some excellent pointed frees by Mark O'Dwyer.

With Crokes conceding a soft goal, the Lucan lads certainly had the better of the second half. Crokes struggled to score uphill and against a stiff breeze and only some fine defending kept Lucan at bay. With only a few minutes remaining Lucan had come to within a point and looked the more likely to score. However, a fine point by Dillon Mulligan steadied the nerves and Crokes ran out ultimate winners.
