Never say die!  That was surely the motto which saw the Crokes under 16 B hurlers overcome Whitehall Colmcilles in Silverpark on Saturday 23rd September 2006.

Played on pitch number 2 which held up very well to the damp conditions the Crokes lads trailed 0-8 to 0-5 at half time.  Inspirational words from the management team of Paddy Hanley and Ciaran Sheeran had the desired effect and shortly into the second half Crokes drew level with a Mark Lynskey goal.  Whitehall regained control and when they went four points up with five minutes to go looked to have secured the victory.  However the Crokes lads kept at it.  A Conor Caulfield pointed free brought the deficit to two and with time running out a great run and goal from Killian Doherty  was enough to see the home team victorious and into the championship semi-final.
