Under 13A's Pipped By St Vincents

The under 13A’s had a great game in Deerpark against St. Vincent’s on Tuesday 30th August 2011.

 

Having conceded an early goal, the boys buckled down, with some points from good free taking by Michael Roche and points from Jim Gibbons and Paddy Flaherty.  Then Vincent’s conceded a goal and we went in at half time 1 point down, 1-6 to 1-5.

 

After the break Crokes took a deserved lead with a goal and finished out losing narrowly by two points having played the last quarter with 14 having run out of subs.  Final score Crokes 2-5, St Vincents 1-10.

 

The lads showed great heart and determination in all areas of the pitch.  All deserve a mention but special note for Peter O’Reilly at centre back storming out of defence on many occasions having secured  vital possession, Oisin O’Sichru who really stepped up to the plate with his best performance this season, and Conal Keane keeping goal solidly.
