Very successful blitz held in Cuala today and the boys had a great time and enjoyed getting a medal and also the 'treats' provided by our hosts in Cuala today. Games were 8 minutes a side with full hurling rules but no solo. In the 1st game, our boys moved quickly into play and managed to get ahead or Naomh Barrog early. This seemed to impact Naomh Barrog who took longer to get involved and who showed more of what they were capable of and threatened the kilmacud goal a few times near the end of the game.

The 2nd game vs Cuala was a ding dong battle. Our boys had beaten Cuala quite well about 6 months ago and it was clear that Cuala have made great strides over the intervening time as they completely dominated the 1st half. The kilmacud boys played much better in the 2nd half and were unlucky not to get a number of scores before scoring the 45 near the end of the game.

The 2nd game against Naomh Barrog was a much tigher affair and Naomh Barrog scored 1-1 without reply in the 1st five minutes. As in the Cuala game, Kilmacud stormed back into the match and scored the next 3-3. This was not a reflection of the game went as Naomh Barrog had much possession but the Kilmacud defense played great in this game in particular.

Excellent tournament, a lot of fun and great credit due to Cuala.
