On May 28th this year a group of 34 cyclists will embark on the Mizen to

Malin Club Cycle to raise funds for Breast Cancer Ireland and Kilmacud

Glenalbyn Sports Club Ltd. Breast Cancer Ireland is a charity established

to support breast cancer research, education and awareness whilst Kilmacud

Glenalbyn Sports Club Ltd are raising funds to replace the boilers that

service the club dressing rooms and for essential maintenance across

Glenalbyn House.

The following days outline the gruelling task ahead of these participating

cyclists;

 

28th May Malin Head  to Letterkenny  81km

29th May Letterkenny to Ballyhaunis 180km

30th May Ballyhaunis to Lahinch     135km

31st May Lahinch     to Kenmare     160km

1st June Kenmare     to Mizen        87km

 

As this is a Club Cycle we are asking our members to support this mammoth

effort, we have a number of avenues for potential sponsorship;

  1. Support your cyclists as they do a number of Static Cycling sessions, we are also looking for volunteers to help out, the days

      • Sunday   11th May - Ballinteer Shopping Centre

      • Saturday 17th May – Top of Grafton Street

      • Saturday 24th May - Stillorgan & Dundrum Shopping Centres.

On Friday 23rd May, there is an official launch night and table quiz

(Sponsor invitations and launch of Cyclist Kit etc...), your support for

this event would also be greatly appreciated.

 

The 2012 Malin to Mizen Club Cycle raised a massive €60K - €30K for Breast

Cancer Ireland and €30K for Kilmacud Glenalbyn Sports Club Ltd., the

cyclists are targeting €70K this year as with the increased number of

cyclists and with the goodwill & support shown to date – let's make it

happen.
