Mentors Sevens- Ladies Football takes the crown

Body
The highly competitive mentors sevens took place last saturday at the the club and thanks to the kind invitation of Peter Ward the ladies mentors were invited to field an entry.

Dara Egan from Ladies Nursery organised the team and to his grave disappointment Pat Sheridan was not available on the day so he spent some time looking for an Eoghan O'Gara style bustling full-forward to replace him!!!   He tried getting Pat to fund a sun training break in advance of the event but after due (and lengthy) consideration Pat declined. But he did offer a free packet of crisps (each) for all participants.

I'm happy to report that the "ladies boys" as they came to be known proved themsleves in the end and did us all proud by winning the competition outright.  Well done and congratulations to Daragh Egan and his twin brother, Roger Barr, Eamon Murray, Kealan McCusker, Michael Mcnamara, Alan O'Sullivan's alter ego, and Joan Keogh.  Also to Ross O'Carroll who provided his expertise in managing our team on the day.   Pat don't  forget the bag of crisps!  Daragh I think a training regime is definitely in order, as the resident champions will need to defend their title.

Many thanks to Peter for his kind invitation, and for his wonderful organisation of such an enjoyable event.
