Seriously Chilled

Body

Pitchside last tuesday night in Glenalbyn was a busy night as we launched the 14th All Ireland U14 Ladies Football Sevens. We were delighted to welcome our sponsors of the event, Chill Insurance, whose support is very much appreciated.

Amongst our many visitors to the club for the launch, was Marie Hickey, Uachtárán Cumann Peil Gael na mBan. Our Dublin Players, Lauren Magee and Molly Lamb were also there to support the event, alongside our players from the U14 squad, Emer Crowley, Clodagh Hughes, Emma Kane, and Orla O' Shea.

We are very grateful to Chill Insurance for their support in making these wonderful games happen, games that mean an awful lot to the young players across the country who really enjoy the sevens at Kilmacud Crokes. Some clubs have been entering the competition for many years and are familiar faces around the club on sevens day.  It is not unusual to see clubs travelling from the U.K. to the sevens, and this year is no exception as we welcome St. Colmcille's from Hertfordshire. Altogether, there are 32 teams from 24 counties all looking for the glory that belonged to the Westport Ladies last year. Who will it be this year?

We wish all of our entrants the very best of luck and we hope you all have a wonderful day, win, lose or draw.
