Kilmacud Crokes Camogie Club is hosting the 41st All-Ireland Camogie Seven-aSide Competition on Saturday, 13th September in Stillorgan, Dublin.

Pitches in Glenalbyn and Silverpark are used with a third venue close by to cater for the 48 teams that take part. Invitations are sent in July with the closing date being Friday, 22nd August 2014. Clubs whose applications and entry fees have been received by this date will be considered.

In recent years, the competition is divided into 3 sections; the Prionsais Ó Cronain Cup (for clubs from the traditionally stronger counties), the Sean Flynn Shield (for clubs from the remaining counties) and a Plate competition (for the weakest clubs). Allocation into the various sections is dependent on a club's success within their own county and the camogie strength of that county. The relevant information to make that decision is gathered from the County secretaries.

Teams are divided into groups of four and play three matches before the playoff stages commence. Matches begin at 10.30 am and the finals are usually at around 5.30 to 6 pm.

A Puc Fada Competition also takes place in Glenalbyn at approximately 3 pm and one player from each team entered is entitled to be nominated. A Wall Ball Competition has also been introduced, and is proving to be very popular. Any female player/coach/spectator can enter this competition.

Any queries regarding the competition can be sent to KilmacudCrokesCamogie7s@outlook.ie or to Patricia Lloyd on 087 2392109 (evenings only). Please mention your club name in all correspondence.
