AFL8 Clash of the Titans !!!!!

Kilmacud Crokes 2018 Adult football season re-commences this coming weekend, with all five Adult teams starting their league campaigns.

The opening game is this Saturday 17th, a local derby between Kilmacud Crokes and (Yes) Kilmacud Crokes in AFL8.Throw in time of 3.30pm in Glenalbyn (weather permitting). The all-conquering John O’Loughlin/McGrath Brothers managed team, fresh on from their AFL9 promotion & Junior D Championship success in 2017, containing star names such as Liam Og, Paul Griffin, Declan Kelleher, Brian McGrath and Kevin O’Carroll and club stalwarts Brian Davoren & Davy Kehoe, start their AFL8 campaign against Stephen Russell’s new-look and youthful Kilmacud Crokes side, captained by seasoned veteran Declan Maher.

With local pride at stake, pitting best friends and even brothers against each other, this promises to be a great contest, with both teams finishing highly in their respective divisions in 2017.

The game will see the highly experienced team of John O’Loughlin, against Russell’s side, coached by John O’Callaghan, Mick Leahy & Peter Brady and containing no less than 10 players in their first year out of minor making their debut in Adult competition. 

Both panels plan on putting aside their differences after the game in Kilmac’s bar for a meal and drinks.
