Hurling for Bothar
A Chara,
I have committed myself to taking part in a fund raising initiative for the third world charity – “Bóthar”. The organization as you may be aware carry out tremendous work throughout the world. They are probably best known for providing poor families in Africa with Dairy Animals such as cows and goats and thus giving them a sustainable means of supporting their families.
The project which I am supporting is “Dry Forest Development and Conservation” on the Peru / Ecuador border and my commitment is to raise at lease €5000.
Instead of the usual raffles and collections I have decided, with the support of my hurling colleagues, to run something where contributors will get some value for their money. As such I am organizing an attractive coaching day, which should be both beneficial and enjoyable (see below).
Presenters will include members of the various Kilkenny Management Teams who will be joined by guest coaches from outside the county and will be supported by several of the Kilkenny Senior Hurlers.
There is a contribution of €30 per person and if you would like to attend please contact Brian Ryan or myself.
Yours Sincerely
Martin Fogarty
