As part of a sporting organisation we aim to offer an inclusive, diverse and welcoming environment suitable for those with varied abilities and interests. As well as GAA games, Club members have formed many other groups including a Choir, Ciorcail Chomhrá (Irish Conversation weekly get togethers), Cycling Club, Golf Society and Men’s Shed which operate out of our grounds.
We also operate Clubhouse facilities on a commercial business and in this way aim to encourage the business and wider community to take part. Examples of businesses who operate out of the Clubhouse and classes include
- Village Café open Monday to Saturday inclusive from 8 a.m. to 4.00 p.m.
- A Montessori School
- Bridge Club
- Slimming World
- Classes: Art lessons, ‘Dance yourself fit’, Irish Dancing, Performing Arts for Children, Pilates, Tai Chi and Yoga.
- Meetings: a number of local businesses use our Board room for corporate meetings.
In addition to facilities, KGSC organises an inclusive Multi Sports Camp each Summer which offers children a wide range of games (not just GAA) and creative activities. These camps have proven very popular over many years and offer children the opportunity to have fun and develop skills in a professional and safe environment during summer months.
