Death Notice Marie Gath (nee Walsh) RIP

The death has occurred of Marie Gath. Marie is mum to Helen, who is the  wife of club member Aidan Horan. Marie is also gran to Shane  Horan who currently plays on our Adult Senior 1 Football Team.  We send our collective sympathies and heartfelt condolences to Helen on the passing of her mum, to Aidan, Shane and all their extended family. They are in our thoughts and prayers at this sad time.   Funeral details below. 

Marie Gath (nee Walsh) passed peacefully at her home in Derrinboy, Kilcormac on September 19th 2023. Much loved wife of Rob, and beloved mother of Mary, Helen, Pat, Olive, Aidan, Deirdre and Damian and sister to Eileen Gleeson and Kathleen Lynch. She will be very sadly missed by her loving family, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law,sisters-in-law,relatives, neighbours and her many lifelong and dear friends. Marie is predeceased by her sisters Ita and Nuala, her brothers Sean, Leo and Paddy and grandson Kevin.

Reposing at her home (R42 RY72) on Thursday, September 21st, from 4 o'clock until (rosary) at 8 o'clock. House private at other times. Removal to the Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Kilcormac on Friday 22nd for 12 (noon) funeral mass followed by burial to Saint Joseph's Cemetery, Kilcormac. Family flowers only. Donations, if desired, to a charity of your choice.
