The death has taken place of Gerry Hanley, Fairview, former Vice Chairman of Kilmacud Crokes Hurling Committee (1981-1990) Kilmacud Crokes delegate to Dublin County Board (1979-1991) member of Kilmacud Crokes Executive Committee.

 

A wonderful servant of the game, the Club and the Association.

In 2013 Gerry was awarded the inaugural "Laoch na Seachtanna" in recognition of his enormous contribution to the Kilmacud Crokes All Ireland 7s Competition over a long number of years. For more click HERE

 

Arrangements as follows:

Hanley Gerard (Gerry) (Fairview and late of Tinahely and Park Developments) April 15th, 2016 (peacefully) in the gentle care of the staff at St. Gabriel’s Ward, Mater Hospital; beloved husband of the late Carmel, loving father of Mick, Mary, Gary (Fr. Kevin), Cora and Colette, treasured grandad to Colm, Tara, Katie, Daniel, Adam, Gemma, Hannah, Heather and Ben and doting great-grandad to Rían. Sadly missed by his sons-in-law Brian, Richard and Derrick, sisters Mollie and Rosemarie, brother Oliver (Mike) and all his family and many friends.

Gerry will be reposing at the Kirwan Funeral Home, Fairview Strand, on Sunday from 10.30am to 2pm and at home on Monday from 2pm with removal to the Church of the Visitation, Fairview, arriving at 5.30pm. Requiem Mass on Tuesday morning at 10am, thence funeral to St. Kevin’s Church, Killaveney, arriving at approx. 2pm for Prayer Service, followed by burial in adjoining cemetery.
