Kilmacud Crokes Ladies are back up into senior ranks following their seven point win over Parnell's in the 2014 Intermediate Championship final. Last Friday night 25th July, in Lawless Park in Swords, Crokes claimed their 2nd Intermediate title after a 14 year wait. The team lead by Ann Marie Mc Barron (AMO) dominated their opponents throughout the game but made life difficult for themselves as they seemed to leave their scoring boots back in Stillorgan. Nevertheless  2 goals in the first half from Michelle Daveron and Rachel Gallagher gave Crokes a comfortable half time lead of 2-3 to 0-2. In second half Parnell's closed the gap to 4 points, but Crokes responded well with points from Una Murphy, Eabha Rutledge and Alanha Jones to restore Cokes lead to 7pts and they were never troubled from then on. Croke's player Ciara Regan who gave a master class in defending, was named player of the final. Cokes had a big contingent of supporters with the players and management team of Tommy Doran, Daphne Lamb, Mark Regan, Donal Gallagher and Donald Whorisky (Physio) all greatly appreciated the encouragement they got from all.

Crokes now represent Dublin in the Leinster Championship which begins in October and the team are hopeful of adding more silverware to the cabinet. Please try and support this team and all Crokes ladies football teams which are fast becoming the powerhouse club in ladies football in Dublin and the pride of Stillorgan.
