Kilmacud Crokes Ladies Football held its 7th Annual All Ireland Ladies Under 14's Seven A Side Competition on Saturday 25th September 2010, a cold but thankfully dry day for the 78 matches that were played.

The competition began at 10.00am with 32 Teams representing 26 Counties, with some teams travelling from early morning, teams such as St. Brigids (Roscommon) and St Macartan's Ladies (Tyrone), Éire Óg (Cork) to compete on the day.

Pat Quill, Uachtaran Cumann Peil Gael na mBan was in attendance on what was an exciting day of Ladies Football, enjoyable for both players and supporters alike.

Matches were played in Silverpark, St. Benildus College and Glenalbyn from 10.00am to quarter final stage with Plate and Cup Semi Final and Finals played on Páirc de Burca pitch in Glenalbyn with Plate and Cup Finalist led on to the pitch by a piper!

The Cup Semi Finals found Kilkerrin-Clonberne (Galway) beating St. Laurences (Kildare) 2-8 to 2-5 and Moy Davitts (Mayo) beating Monagea (Limerick) 9-4 to 3-5.

The Cup Final was an All Connaught Final with Kilkerrin-Clonberne (Galway) and Moy Davitts (Mayo) with both teams giving excellent performances and some great goals with Kilkerrin-Clonberne winning the cup with a final score of 5-12 to 1-10. Niamh Barrett from Kilmacud Crokes refereed the Cup Final.

The Plate Semi Finals and Finals were equally action packed with Ballyboden St. Enda's (Dublin) beating Naomh Brí­d (Antrim) 6-6 to 6-2 to earn their place in the Plate Final. The other Semi Final saw Clonmel Commericals (Tipperary) finishing 5-3 in an exciting game against Scotstown (Monaghan) 2-4.

The high scoring Plate Final resulted in Clonmel Commercials winning the Plate Competition by 10-6 to 3-5 and the Plate Trophy headed down to Tipperary. Laura Bourke from Castleknock refereed the Plate Final

Congratulations to all the girls who reached the Cup and Plate Finals having played a total of seven matches over the day.

Player of the 2010 Tournament was Fiona Doherty from Moy Davitts for outstanding performance through out the tournament.

Kilmacud Crokes were knocked out by St. Laurence's (Kildare) in Round 4 of Cup Competition.
