John Maguire Receives his Award for Dublin Camogie Volunteer of The Year
John Maguire receives his award for Dublin Camogie Volunteer of the Year. John has tirelessly worked for the development and retention of players and teams for KIlmacud Crokes in particular on junior and B/C teams at times when several girls might previously given-up camogie. He successfully led the formation of a third and fourth adult camogie teams in Kilmacud Crokes, both of these teams are now go well established and this has given an opportunity to girls to stay playing camogie after
coming out of juvenile where previously there was no opportunity for them. John has also contributed to the development of the u18 grade in the club.
John was a member of the Kilmacud Crokes sub-committee which prepared a development plan for camogie in the club which has led to some new structures and processes to support of growing number of camogie players and teams.
