Dublin SFC ... the Rejuvenation continues!

Well done to our Senior footballers on a top-class performance in the Dublin SFC tonight!  Following a slow start, they eased past a gallant Na Fianna on a scoreline of 1-16 to 0-8 (1-10 to 0-2 at half-time) and are now into the last 16 - game on!  What pleased the supporters most was the wonderful football we played on occasions - fast, combined, flowing movements that might have yielded an even greater dividend on another night.  Many of the injuries that have dogged the squad this year seem to have healed and the team are shaping up again like the All Ireland champions that they are.

Liam Og O'hEineachain at centre-fwd gave a master class as Conductor of The Orchestra, shooting 5 delicious points from play to boot!  Mark - Daniel Day - Vaughan chipped in with 2 lovely left-footed points followed by another off his right for good measure; this on top of a most energetic display.  Kevin Nolan, hot off the surgeon's table, looked composed and strong throughout and Brian McGrath was his usual excellent self - getting better with age!  In truth, the whole team played well for most of the game and one senses theyve only just begun - at least we hope so!

For the record, there were very few frees in a game played in a good spirit by both teams.  Most unusually, Crokes didn't register a single score from a free - is that a record?
