FEATURED KILMACUD CROKES FOOTBALL TEAM ADULT 11

In a large club of 100+ teams across the various codes it’s impossible to keep track of all teams.  Even within the Football Section there are more teams than the most avid Crokes supporter can keep tabs on.  Nevertheless, each team is a vital part of the club and helps to make us the vibrant GAA community that we are today.  Through this web-site we hope to shine the spotlight occasionally on the adult teams (full list under “Adult Football” on menu).  To get things started, say hello to the members of our 6th ranked adult team that ply their trade in the Dublin Adult11 League, Duffy Cup and Junior D championship.

The team is managed on a uniquely collaborative basis by 5 enthusiastic young men: Dáire Brennan, Tom Lyons (Jnr), David Beagon, Darragh Kenny and Ciarán Doyle.  They have their own objectives for the year (must remain a secret to “outsiders” lest  the competition gain any advantage!!) and put in as much effort as most other teams in the club.  Not being one of the more fashionable teams, it could be argued that it takes even more effort to run this operation than most but the lads are not complaining.  Their warm-up routine before games is enough to illustrate their  passion, commitment and intent, stopping just short of a GAA-style Haka!!
