No separating local rivals in SFC Semi replay
Another enthralling encounter in Parnell Park tonight ends with the prospect of more to come! Yes, it ended all square between Kilmacud Crokes and Ballyboden St. Endas, even after extra time, on a scoreline of 1-10 apiece.
If this is what amateur sportsmen are asked to produce on a dank, mid-week evening we owe them all a huge vote of thanks - entertainment par excellence! The game was played at a helter skelter pace with chances aplenty albeit many missed, especially by the Crokers. Still, all of the available energy in both camps was left on the pitch with no question of surrender on either side, right to the final whistle. Well done to both teams on a great effort played in a very sporting spirit! See more detailed report here.
The 'battle' resumes on Tuesday next when it will be lucky 13th for some. Throw in is at 8pm in Parnell Park ..... can't wait!!
For some of tonight's players there will be little rest as Senior Hurling Championship commitments beckon this w/e in O'Toole Park. Our Ross O'Carroll, who had a fine game at fullback tonight, is looking forward to a very special Saturday, as much if not more than his great pal pictured below. Good luck to you both!!
