TRAIL BLAZING TEAM FROM LATE 1970s REUNITE
At the recent launch of the Kilmacud Stillorgan Historical Society Annual Journal a special era and team in the history of Kilmacud Crokes were remembered. In spite of the season that was in it no fewer than twenty posed for the team photo - all hail and hearty! Several others arrived later. There were excusals from Declan Downs and John Mitchell (Galway) Fr Seamus Kelly home in Kerry from Venezuela, brother of former GAA president Sean Kelly, nearly made it but sent his regrets.
This was a lovely get-together for a trail-blazing team, the "class of 1979". We will provide an 'insider' report on their, and the club's, pioneering march to Senior football on this web-site soon .... you've been warned!! (scroll down to see the team lineup)
