Building a Winning Team without Sacrificing a Single Child?

Dr.Niall Muldoon is a long standing member of Kilmacud Crokes and has served as a coach, selector and manager on a variety of football teams from U.12 up to Senior 2. He is a psychologist with a vast experience ofworking with children and he currently works as National Clinical Director of CARI (Children At Risk in Ireland - www.cari.ie).Niall has also provided psychological support to a range of GAA teams (football and hurling) across Leinster, Munster and Ulster at both club and county level. Niall’s presentation will look at how to build toward awinning team while also enhancing the confidence and self esteem of young people. Niall will talk about how the role of positive psychology in progressive coaching is vital to ensure our young players remain engaged within a Kilmacud Crokes  club that strives to value each of theplayers equally.

   

Guidelines for Safe Return to Play following Concussion

KateSheridan is a member of the senior Ladies Football team in KIlmacud Crokes. She has a B.Sc. in Athletic Therapy and Training and an M.Sc. inPhysiotherapy. Kate will explain the epidemiology of concussion, but will focus on the best practice for athletes returning to sport following concussion.
