All Ireland U21 Final, Dublin v Galway

You couldn't make it to the grassy knoll in Dallas in 1963 when JFK met an untimely end, you failed to get a ticket for Munster's famous game with the All Blacks in Thomond Park in 1978, and your youthful visage makes me seriously doubt that you were anywhere near the GPO around Easter 1916.  Missing out on all of those historic occasions was forgivable.  What will never be forgiven, however, is if you miss out on Dublin's first appearance in an under-21 All-Ireland hurling final for 35 years.  Our opponents on that day were Galway so this year's final involves a repeat of that game ( hopefully with a different outcome - Galway won in 1972 on a 2-09 to 1-10 scoreline ).  

Our own Ross O'Carroll and Shane O'Rorke are on the Dublin panel so we have extra reason to want the Dubs to do well.  It would be hard to overstate the benefits that a Dublin win would mean for hurling in the capital.  The most meaningful support that you and I can provide is to get along to the game and to roar encouragement at the lads.  Obviously the greater the crowd the better will be the support provided so bring all your kids along too.  Please also do your best to persuade any of your 'football' mates who might not normally attend hurling fixtures to go along.  Details of how to order your tickets are provided below.

'The All-Ireland U21 Hurling Final takes place on Sunday 9th September. Starting time to be finalised. The Lower Hogan and Lower Cusack Stands are the only areas open. Tickets cost €20 (Adult) and €5 (Children). The closing date for receipt of ticket requests is Monday next 3rd September at 10am. Tickets can be collected on Thursday 6th September from Parnell Park between 10am and 1,30pm only. All Students and Senior Citizens must purchase a full price ticket for the CUSACK Stand. On match day €10 will be refunded prior to entry to the Stadium at Block D, Cusack Stand on presentation of current, valid and photographic I.D. ALL Student ID Cards must have an expiry date.'
