Crokes earn their slot in AHL1 League Final
Crokes hosted Craobh Chiarain in this end of season league match - the winners earning a place in the AHL1 League Final
Stars of Erin pitch may be the highest altitude pitch in Dublin - and it was here that our Senior A's maintained their lofty ambitions of adding the AHL 1 League to their recent Dublin Senior Hurling Championship. Both teams knew a win would earn a final slot against table toppers St. Judes.
The teams were quite even over the first quarter and having opened up a lead, Crokes were pegged back by an excellent goal from former all-star Alan Mc Crabbe, leaving a gap of 3 points at half-time.
This match was an opportunity for the wider panel to make their mark and in a stronger 2nd half Crokes finished up 11 points against a game Chiarains, who were hampered by a depleted bench.
Well done to the Management and Players as we look forward to another League Final - and of course there's the agreeable distraction of Next Week's Leinster Hurling Club Semi-Final versus Ballyhale Shamrocks!
