Double Quarter Final Delight
Saturday 2nd October 2010 proved a day of double quarter final delight for Crokes hurlers as the seniors beat St Brigids by 1-16 to 0-15 in Parnell Park and the intermediates accounted for Naomh Barrog at SIlverpark by 2-9 to 0-10.
The premier team found it difficult to shake off the opposition and a goal from scorer-in-chief Kevin O’Loughlin in the fifty third minute proved decisive. At the break Crokes led 0-8 to 0-6. For report see HERE
The inters were 2-4 to 0-6 to the good at the same mark and on a day when the entire team worked hard there were stellar performances from Brian Hanamy, Aidan McCarthy, Declan Browne and Fergus Garvey. For report see HERE.
Tomorrow Sunday sees the under 11 October tournament throw in at Pairc de Burca at 12.00 while the Junior E’s take on St. Patrick’s Palmerstown in their county championship semi final in O’Toole Park at 2.30. All support gratefully received.
