Hail Ballyhale Shamrocks!
We now know our Kilkenny opponents for the eagerly awaited Leinster Senior Hurling
Semi Final ...none other than the illustrious Ballyhale Shamrocks.
Shamrocks recorded an impressive 1.20 to 1.13 against current KK champions Clara.
It will be both a privilege and a challenge as Dublins Champions to be pitted against
Kilkenny's finest in Parnell Park (Sun Nov 23rd)
Ballyhale are a fairly recent club formed in 1972 from the amalgamation of 2 Junior Clubs Ballyhale and Knocktopher.Knockmoylan had previously had a team in the parish and Ballyhale's Shamrock
logo and title reflects the combining of the 3 parts of the parish.
And what a tradition and achievement they have garnered since their formation.
Ballyhale have just secured their 15th Kilkenny Hurling Championship - they will now be seeking to add to their 7 Leinster Hurling and 5 All-Ireland Hurling Championships.
Along with that fine tradition and achievement this team has many stars. The current panel has won 40 All-Ireland SHC medals with Kilkenny and have 4 All-Stars in their ranks.
Their success has been built on a strong club ethos and on their wider panel not just their county stars.
We salute and welcome Ballyhale Shamrocks to Parnell Park.
