Report Week Ending 6th June 2010
Dublin’s nine point win over Laois in the quarter final of the 2010 Leinster senior hurling championship was the highlight of a quiet playing week. With Niall Corcoran starring at right corner back the Dubs built on their half time 0-14 to 0-10 lead to eventually pull away and win 0-25 to 0-16. On the domestic front, in spite of a severe drain on playing resources due to the Whit weekend, the under 13’s managed to field two teams on Saturday.
In division 1 at Pairc de Burca KC1 were too hot for Naomh Barrog, coming home 5-8 to 4-1 winners with the losers scoring three second half goals. KC3 has to make the long journey to Swords for their Division 5 clash with Finagallians where (with the minimum number of permitted players in that division they fought admirably to come away with the points by 4-5 to 4-3.
Earlier in Glenalbyn the under 14B’s also with a scratch team (and with some under 13 “double jobbers”) hosted St Sylvesters and had to give way 3-4 to 1-2.
On Tuesday evening the other Under 13 Division 1 team travelled to play table topers Na Fianna in a game that saw the hosts come out well on top. For report see HERE
