Tough battle in Championship

The Senior Hurling "B" Championship match played in a sunny Silverpark on Wednesday 19 June was a very physical affair. But Crokes came away deserviing winners in the end  by 16 points to 1-07. Good defensive play by the Crokes back line laid the foundation for the victory, while Emmett Doherty and Niall Lillis were solid throughout. Eddie O'Byrne and Barry Mulligan were very lively in midfield, while up front Donal McGovern, Caolan Conway and Barra O Leidhin were the pick. 

Sylvesters' cause was not helped when they were reduced to 14 following a red card.
