Seniors Draw with Brigids in Championship opener

Stalemate in Parnell Park

The first round of the Senior Championship saw Crokes take on Brigids in Parnell Park on Wednesday 1 May 2013. Crokes opened the scoring and also notched up two goals before half time, courtesy of Oisín O Rorke and a kicked goal by Brian Hanamy. Crokes finished the first half 3 points up - 2-05 to 1-05.

Brigids upped their game significantly in the second half. Crokes failed to take their scoring chances, managing only 3 further points by the final whistle, allowing Brigids to draw level at 2-08 apiece.

In the other group match played earlier at the same venue, Judes emerged victors over Na Fianna by 3-17 to 1-20.

Next up for Crokes will be Na Fianna at 6:45pm on Friday 17 May in Parnell Park.
