U21's beat Na Fianna
Winning start to hurling weekend!
Weather conditions were not great in Mobhi Road as the U21's began their championship campaign against a physical Na Fianna team, who were managed by former Dublin Minor supremo Pat Fanning. Thanks to a well taken goal by Barry Horan, and some excellent free-taking by Mark O'Loughlin, Crokes finished the first half in a relatively comfortable lead; 1-07 to 0-03 ahead.
Na Fianna upped their game after the break but failed to convert their scoring opportunities. Their cause was not helped by the dismissal of their full back. Crokes began to pull away and it was only in the final few minutes that Na Fianna recorded their first point of the second half, quickly followed by a converted penalty just before the long whistle.
