Victory for Junior D's v Naomh Barrog
Junior D's top of the league with one game to go
The Junior D’s staked their claim for a League Final place this morning on a bright morning in Silverpark, running out comfortable winners against Naomh Barrog, with a scoreline of 2-11 to 1-07. Although missing a few regulars, Crokes still fielded a strong line up, with individuals fighting for a starting spot in the upcoming championship final. We started well, with strong showings from Andy in the corner and Ronan on the wing. In fact it was a final solo goal from Ronan that got us that few points clear. This was soon added to through a cracking finish from Niko, following a fine cross field pass from Shane.
Crokes dropped the pace playing into the wind in the second half and allowed Barrog to make the scoreline respectable, as they notched on some pointed frees and a scrappy goal.
The result leaves us top of the league with one game remaining.
