Kilmacud Crokes opened their 2009 Dublin Senior Hurling Championship campaign with an emphatic 3-19 to 1-7 over the Dublin North West regional team at Parnell Park on Saturday 29th August 2009.
Within three minutes the victors were 1-1 to no score clear. The regional squad then goaled and pointed to level momentarily creating the impression a contest might be in store. However they could only add a further two points before the break while Crokes added 1-7. Despite spurning two early goal chances the Stillorgan men kept the scoreboard ticking and were never troubled. All the losers’ points came from placed balls. With seven championship debutantes now blooded Crokes next round robin assignment is scheduled against Cuala for Sunday 12th September in O’Toole Park at 12.00 midday. For match report see HERE

Quote from Parent
“As a parent who has 5 children in the club and 2 more about to start, I have got to know more people since I started helping out with my 5th child that I did bringing all my other children to training and matches. Your child will love to see you getting involved. And remember, these parents are the people you will be standing with on the sideline of pitches for the rest of your son's playing career! Many helpers lighten the load for everybody.”
