Crokes are out for Your Blood !!
Crokes are our for blood... yours!!!
Ladies Football have organised on the 12th of November at 7:30 in the bar there will be a talk in the club about donating blood. Aisling from the Irish blood transfusion board will be there to explain what exactly is involved and also the importance of donating blood and how it is vital for many people undergoing chemotherapy. There will also be a woman named Lorraine there to speak about her daughter Caoimhe (who passed away this year aged 19 after battling cancer for over three years) experience in regard to receiving blood and how important it was for her in her battle against cancer and how it afforded her extra time with her family . There has been, and are, many kids and adults within the club unbeknown to us with cancer and other illnesses who are in need of blood transfusions. Rules about donating blood have changed to make more people eligible once over 18. We would urge you all to come along to check if you are eligible to donate blood and listen to Aisling and Lorraine so that you can share the information with others. It would be fantastic if as many people as possible can make it as it is an incredibly important cause. See you there!
