Annual KCWheelers St Paddy's Day Cycle March 17th 2022

Body

As has become a tradition, cyclists in Kilmacud Crokes complete a 100km cycle  and make a collection for Laura Lynn on St Patricks day. This year was no different and it was a welcome return post the pandemic restrictions which did not allow us complete it for the 2 years. Circa 65 cyclists set off on a round trip to Rathdrum. This trip also doubled as a major training spin for those planning to do M2M 2022 in June. The weather was kind to us and while the early part of the day was cool, the sun came out on the way back. The cyclists were split into 3 groups.  Thanks to all who provided the leadership for these groups on the road - Bomber,Mick, Frank,Liam, Donie, Mark  and Pat. Thanks also to Mick Carolan and Vinny Patterson who provided vehicle support. And a big thank you to Genevieve Dalton and Gemma Mulligan who provided us to tea's,coffee, goodies and water at the stop in Rathdrum.  Thanks also to those who baked and contributed to the food stop. very much appreciated.  Through the generous donations from the cyclists, we raised 2435 euro which we will send onto Laura Lynn.  Great support and genorosity.  All in all a very enjoyable trip. Thanks to all who supported.
