It is with great sadness, we note the passing of Andrew Quinn, a player in our 2005 group. Our sincere condolences to his father Joe, mother Audrey,, Andrews brother David and sister Hannah and his wider family. Joe coached many of our 2005 players. David is a current minor player. Andrew will always be remembered in his group for his bravery on the pitch, his willingness to fight every battle and the many many friends he made both on and off the pitch in our club. It is with immense sadness that we are announcing the passing of our much-loved Andrew, who was taken from us far too soon. Andrew passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family leaving a void that will never be filled.

A beautiful boy with a kind heart, a charming personality and an infectious smile, he brought great joy to all around him. With his passion for life, loyalty, remarkable courage and determination Andrew had a huge impact wherever he went. Andrew leaves behind an amazing legacy of love and will be deeply missed forever by his parents Audrey (Palmer) and Joe, his younger siblings David and Hannah, granddads Noel (Palmer) and Joe (Quinn) and large extended family who will forever hold him in their hearts. His memory will also be cherished by numerous friends from Carysfort National School, St. Michael’s College Secondary School, UCD, Commercial Rowing Club, Kilmacud Crokes GAA and Lakelands Football Club and all others who had the privilege of knowing him.

May Andrew’s beautiful, brave, kind and gentle soul Rest in Peace.

Funeral Mass on Thursday (27th February) at 11am in the Church of St. John the Baptist, Blackrock followed by burial in Deans Grange Cemetery.
