The Kilmacud Crokes GAA community is saddened to hear of the death of Elsie O' Callaghan. Elsie is mum to club football stalwart John (Jockey) O' Callaghan.  John  played senior football with the club and was part of the winning All Ireland Club team who won the club's 1st All Ireland Club Football Final. Our thoughts and prayers are with John and all of the O' Callaghan family at this sad time. May Elsie rest in peace.  Funeral details below :

Elsie O'Callaghan (née Killian), Blackrock, Co. Dublin (Formerly Knockeroghery, Co. Roscommon) departed this life peacefully on 16th January 2025 in the care of the wonderful staff of the Ashbury nursing home and surrounded by her loving family. Pre-deceased by her beloved husband Frank, her sisters Kathleen, Lily and Marie and her brothers Joe and Micheál.

Elsie will be deeply missed by her loving children John, Mary, and George, her cherished granddaughter Ali, her dear sisters Bridie and Sheila, her nieces, nephews, cousin’s neighbours and wide circle of friends.

May her gentle soul Rest in Peace.

A Funeral Mass will be held to celebrate Elsie’s life on Tuesday 21st January in the Church of the Guardian Angels, Newtownpark Avenue, at 10am, followed by burial in Shanganagh Cemetery.
