Follow-up Needed re Local Councilor Help and Support

Many thanks to all of you who took the time to lobby our councilors ahead of the local elections highlighting the need for additional pitch resources for the club. We need and expect DLR's help on this. By and large, all the councilors who took the time to reply were very understanding and committed their support to advocate for the club.

We have a follow-up request. There will likely be lots of door to door canvassing by the councilors in the run up to the election.  If a councilor calls to your door looking for your and your families votes, we would ask you to highlight again in the conversation the Clubs need from DLR for additional pitch resources to support the ongoing growth and development of the club. Ask them specifically how they will advocate on our behalf.  We need to get more slots allocated on council pitches to support the club.  We all know the benefit of playing sport  for  young players and adults and we need their ongoing advocacy and support to enable this.
