On Tuesday January 16th, Kilmacud Community Men's shed ( KCMS) completed their visit excursion of the new year. A group of over 20 made a visit to Glasnevin cemetery. The weather was bitterly cold but dry. After a coffee in the cafe,  we climbed the 198 steps to the top of the O'Connell tower where we were treated to some fantastic views of the city.  We then visited the 2 museums in the visitor center.  After this we were treated to a re-enactment of the speech Padraig Pearse made at the graveside of O'Donovan Rossa.  We completed our visit with a guided tour of a number of other gravesides of historical importance.  It was a really informative, educational and enjoyable experience.  On the way home, a few hardy shed members paid a visit to the infamous Grave Diggers Pub !!!!  We are grateful to Gabby Maguire who organized the trip. Many thanks from all who attended
