KickStart 2020 Update


A wide range of activities took place under this year's Kickstart programme.  The benefits of taking part in social and physical activities are widely documented and we hope that everyone who took part enjoyed it - better still, maybe you discovered something that you are happy to continue with.  Thank you for taking part.  Especially, we would also like to thank the facilitators who ran the classes.  It would not be possible to run the programme without their support and we are very grateful. 

While most of this year's activities are drawing to a close, a number of the activities - run by the same qualified practitioners - continue every week in the Clubhouse :

BRIDGE run under Thomas McCormack's well known Bridge school.  Huey facilitates classes in the Clubhouse on Wednesday mornings in the Function Room and you can contact him at 087 7927 736.

FITNESS LEAGUE OF IRELAND;  chair-based and/or standing fitness classes for Active Retired or those looking for low impact, effective and safe exercise structured to minimise stress on weight-bearing joints.  45 minute classes take place at 2.15 p.m. on Tuesdays in the Function Room and cost €6 per class.  Additional times available available in nearby venues.  Contact Yvonne McMahon 086 3900 223

IRISH CONVERSATION/Ciorcal Gaeilge; Tuesday evenings at 8.30 p.m. in the Bar.  There is no charge and everyone is welcome. 

IRISH DANCING for 3 to 10 year olds on Saturday mornings in Room 5 (additional classes available in alternative venues).  Contact Shauna McGauran on 086 1671320 / shaunamcgauran@gmail.com

PILATES a selection of morning and evening classes run by qualified physiotherapists in the Clubhouse and local venues.  Thank you to all those who attended, we raised €815 for M2M 2020.

SLIMMING WORLD; facilitated by Karen on Monday evenings 5.30 & 7.30 p.m. and by Michele on Tuesday 3.30, 5.30 & 7 p.m. in the Function Room.   Newcomers welcome. 

TAI CHI run by Alex Delogou on Wednesday evenings. Alex also runs other classes in alternative venues.  Beginner and Intermediate classes available.  Contact Alex Delogu on 085 1496 059
