Kilmacud Community Men's Shed - 1st walk of 2025
Brian led a group on a Dodder walk on Friday 31st January.
Leaving the in-to-town bus stop on the N11 near the old library after 10am on the next E1 or E2 bus to come. Dismounting at the stop for Donnybrook Church/Bus Garage. Then to walk up-hill, up-river ,mostly riverside, from there to the Bridge on Orwell Road. Perhaps on or across or near 9 or 10 bridges on the way.
Return by bus from Orwell Road to Dundrum Luas Station and further bus to Stillorgan or where you are then going. One volunteer will be asked to read some poetry about the Dartry Dye Works. Quite a few weird things to see on the way including perhaps something with undulatory tendencies and some 180 year old boundary stones.
The group even ran into an Irish Rugby Legend - Alan Quinlan and convinced him to join the Shed !!!!
