Kilmacud Crokes Beyond 20x20 - If She Can't See It, She Can't be it

Body

Building on the 20x20 initiative over the past couple of years, which aims to promote greater participation of girls in sport, Kilmacud Crokes is delighted to announce that it has established a cross club “Crokes Beyond 20x20” working group.  The aim of  'Crokes Beyond 20x20' is to strive for equity of opportunity for Crokes girls and women in all aspects of their involvement with the Club.

The work of this group has the full support of the Club Executive and is made up of the following people:

Rebecca Beggins – Senior Camogie player and Camogie committee member

Eadaoin Herlihy – Senior Camogie player and Camogie committee member

Shane Horan – Senior Mens Football player

Mark Kenny – Underage Ladies Football coach and Boys Minor Hurling coach

Patricia Lloyd – Former Camogie player and Club Executive Treasurer

Fergus McCormack – Underage Ladies Football coach and Ladies Football committee member

Clíona Ní Shúilleabháin  - Former Camogie player, Camogie Nursery co-ordinator and Camogie committee member

Bill O’Carroll  - Senior Mens Hurling player

Emer Sweeney - Senior Ladies Football player and Ladies Football committee member

As the working group comprises of members from across the four codes in the Club we hope that there will be a broad, diverse range of views shared and explored. That said, we would like to hear from the wider membership and so you will be hearing from the working group in the coming weeks and months ahead, initially with a survey to get your views on how we can further drive and promote equity of opportunity for Crokes girls and women in the Club. In the meantime, if you have any views on this matter you would like to share with the working group, please send them to CrokesBeyond20x20@kilmacudcrokes.com.

We really want this working group to be a strong voice for the members on this very important matter but we can only do this if engagement, from you the members, is high in terms of the upcoming survey and/or sharing your views to the email address.  It’s your Club, let’s hear from you!!”
