Kilmacud Crokes - Healthy Club Recognition

Body

As members will know, Kilmacud Crokes embarked on a focus in the club on our overall membership health and wellbeing under the banner of Crokes Talks. This effort is being lead by our Club Wellbeing Officer Kevin Mulligan. This work is well on its way to being recognised by the GAA in achieveing Healthy Club Certification.  See attached e-mail commentary, video link and also cerification detail. Well done to Kevin and his team on driving this.

A chairde,

Please see the attached video clip and letter from an Uachtaráin, Aogán Ó Fearghail commending the fantastic work of Kilmacud Crokes GAA Healthy Club project team. The work they are driving within the club, and in some instances, the wider community is phenomenal.

Upon completion of the Healthy Club Recognition Criteria (see attached) your club will be amongst the first in Ireland to be officially recognised with “Healthy Club” status while also being eligible to apply for a €1,500 grant to support on-going health- related activities in the club, or to cover costs already incurred.

As the Club Executive, your support is essential and much appreciated. Please share the letter and video clip with your club and county PRO to promote as much as possible.

We would also like to encourage the continued engagement between Healthy Clubs and County Health & Wellbeing Committees (cc’d).

Keep up the good work- Ní neart go cur le chéile.
